Booking and payment
To confirm your reservation, a 50% payment is due at the time of booking.
The remaining 50% balance is due 14 days prior to your arrival. If full payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund of the deposit.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 14 days before your scheduled arrival and receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable, as it becomes too late to rebook the accommodation.
We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellation by Alcoves Cabins
If we must cancel your booking, we will attempt to offer alternative accommodation or provide a full refund. No additional compensation will be paid.
Minimum stay policy and booking guidelines
Minimum two-night stay.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in begins at 3:30 PM on the day of arrival. If you can, please let us know roughly when you’ll arrive so that we can ensure the cabin is warm.
Check-out is by 10:30 AM on the day of departure.
Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request but cannot be guaranteed.
You will receive Pre-Arrival Instructions by email in advance of your arrival date. These include detailed directions, parking information, and any relevant access codes you’ll need.
Use of accommodation
The accommodation is intended for private holiday let use only. Commercial or business activities are not permitted unless expressly agreed in advance.
Guests must not cause any nuisance, damage, or engage in illegal activities while on the premises.
Occupancy and guests
The maximum occupancy of the cabin is as specified in your booking confirmation and must be strictly observed.
Additional guests beyond the confirmed number are not permitted without prior approval and may incur extra charges.
Our cabins are designed to provide peaceful, relaxing stays. We ask all guests to respect our neighbours and venue rules accordingly.
Damage and liability
For damages or breakages: guests are advised to check the accommodation for any damages or breakages found at the beginning of their stay and to inform us of any that they find. Please let us know if anything gets broken so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacements in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear.
If damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment of up to £1,000. Alcoves reserves the right to take payment from the banking details on file.
The cost of replacing keys lost by guests is charged at £25 each.
The guest is responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order, clean and tidy and in the same condition as they found the hut on arrival.
When vacating, guests must remove all food items and personal belongings and follow the instructions about where to place rubbish etc. and return any moved inventory items to each accommodation unit or they may be liable for extra cleaning costs.
If the accommodation unit is not left in an acceptable condition and Alcoves has to carry out extra cleaning above and beyond what they would normally expect £50 will be charged. It is the guest's responsibility to close windows and lock the cabins when they are not on site. Alcoves cannot be held responsible for the guest's personal property which is not locked away inside the cabin. Guests bringing their own bicycles should ensure they are locked and left outside the cabin, please bring locks with you. Alcoves cannot be held responsible for damage or theft to bicycles left on the property. bicycles are not permitted inside the cabin.
Pets
I’m afraid we do not allow pets in our cabins due to the cows and the wildlife.
Smoking and fires
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the cabins. £400 fee applies for breaches.
Charging of vapes and electric bikes/scooters is also prohibited.
Fires and candles are not allowed indoors except in the designated woodburning stove.
Outdoor woodburning stoves or BBQs may only be used where explicitly permitted and must follow safety guidelines. Please do not move the outdoor woodburning stove from its position.
A starter supply of seasoned logs, kindling, or heat logs is provided; additional fuel can be purchased on site.
Bath and sauna use
Please follow all safety guidance provided in the ‘Guest Information Pack’, located inside the cabin before using either the hot tub or sauna. Use of these facilities is at your own risk.
We do not accept liability for any accidents or injuries arising from their use.
Both the sauna and the bath must not be used under the influence of alcohol or with unsafe medical conditions.
Emergencies and Safety
In any emergency, call 999.
Your Cabin Manual contains emergency contacts and directions.
A fire extinguisher and first aid kit are provided in the cabin — know where they are.
The evacuation point is either at the parking area.
Environment & animals
Guests must respect the natural setting:

Accessibility
Please notify us in advance of any special accessibility needs. We will do our best to accommodate, though not all cabins may be fully accessible.
Data and membership
By completing a booking, guests are automatically enrolled as members of Wilded Club. This membership is complimentary. You agree to have your contact details held for the purpose of club administration and site-specific safety notifications.
Guest data is handled in accordance with data protection laws.
Additional rules
We reserve the right to update these terms and will notify you of significant changes.
Force majeure
We cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, or expenses arising from events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or terrorism.
We strongly recommend travel and cancellation insurance for protection against such events.
Cancellation insurance advice
We advise all guests to arrange travel and cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen events that may prevent your stay.
General
By booking, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion.
Law
These Terms are governed by English law.
