What is the minimum stay?
We have a 2-night minimum stay.
What do I need to bring?
At Alcoves, we want to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our cabins are fully equipped with all the amenities to make you feel at home, including comfortable bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom.
We also provide welcome treats in each cabin, filled with essential items to help you settle in and feel at home, this includes freshly ground coffee from Ritual Coffee Roasters in Cheltenham, fresh bread from Otis and Belle, butter from Netherend Farm, jam from Single Variety Co and cream topped Jersey milk from the farm. We understand that you may arrive late at night or after a long journey, so we want to ensure you have some basic provisions to help you get settled in.
Additional hampers, breads and pastries are available to purchase but please note that a minimum of 48 hours is required. Detailed information regarding this will be sent after booking.
It is advisable to bring wellies and some slip on type footwear for getting to and from the sauna. Whilst a rechargeable light is supplied with the Cabins, guests are advised to bring a torch to help access the cabins at night-time.
What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in is after 3.30 p.m., and check-out is before 10.30 a.m. If you can, please let us know roughly when you’ll arrive so that we can ensure the cabin is warm, particularly in the cooler months.
Your arrival and access
You will receive Pre-Arrival Instructions by email in advance of your arrival date. These include detailed directions, parking information, and any relevant access codes you’ll need.
You must follow the Supplied Route precisely and park only in the Designated Parking Area. A maximum of two vehicles is permitted.
Driving off the Supplied Route (including up to the Cabin itself if there is no track) is strictly prohibited. You are responsible for any damage caused by vehicles leaving the designated route.
What is the bathroom like?
Each cabin has a rainfall shower, basin, and compost loo. We provide toiletries by Dulcie (Formerly Known as Haeckels) fresh Piglet towels and a Piglet Robe. If you plan to use the bath frequently, you may want to bring extra towels.
Access to the cabins?
Access to the cabins is via a private drive. Whilst this is regularly maintained, it is not tarmac so please drive with care. There will be occasions when the cows are coming in or out from milking. On these occasions you may be required to wait for a few minutes. Please do not take down any fencing or string at these times and instead take a few minutes to admire the herd.
The carpark is approximately a 40 metre walk from the Blue Cabin, and a 150 metre walk from the Green Cabin. This is through a woodland path that runs along the back of the Cabins.
Please stay within the areas immediately surrounding the Cabin or on any public footpaths and designated routes. You must stay out of the private areas of the property at all times, except in case of emergency.
Can I bring my dog?
I’m afraid we do not allow pets in our cabins due to the cows and the wildlife.
Do the cabins have electricity and WIFI?
Yes, the cabins have electricity and WIFI, but please be mindful and always turn the lights off.
Do I need a car to get there?
Cars are the easiest mode of transport. The nearest train stations are Evesham (7 miles), Moreton in Marsh (15 miles), Cheltenham Spa (15 miles). We can recommend taxi firms for the drive to Alcoves.
